According to information provided by Apple, if your location is below the clear sky and you are outside the conventional network system at that moment, then you will have the opportunity to connect the iPhone 14 with the satellite. Simply put, if there are no clear skies, tall mountains in front, or many leafy trees, the iPhone will easily connect to satellites. The time it takes for the smartphone to connect to the satellite depends on your location and environment.

Also, if there is a clear sky, a text connected to the satellite will reach it faster. Apple is bringing their iOS 16 in November this year. There will be further development of this technology.

How to use SOS on iPhone 14 series

As mentioned earlier, when out of cellular technology network or Wi-Fi coverage area, the iPhone can be used to make emergency text or call via satellite technology.  Now the question is, how can you use it on your iPhone? Let's find out-

First look at your phone screen.  Click on 'Conect to a Satellite' displayed there. For this first you need to take your phone out of your pocket. However, you must hold the phone the way you always work.  No need to go to a different position. At the same time be sure, your position is under clear sky.

If you need to change your location, iPhone will guide you accordingly.  That is, how much you have to go right or left, will be displayed on the screen. Once the satellite is connected, it should remain active even after the phone is locked.

Texting can also be done in an emergency using satellite. Might as well try calling first. But if you can't make a call after connecting to the satellite, you can send a text.  Sending a text using this technology can take anywhere from 15 seconds to 1 minute.

* First, click on the phone's emergency text via satellite option.

* Then you will get option to send urgent text.

* You can also send your current position and location via text.

* In this case you have to follow the instructions displayed on the screen.

Once the phone is satellite connected, text conversations can be done with emergency responders. They can even provide your mobile battery life, medical ID or emergency contact number

Apart from these, any talk can be done with the emergency responders team as per the requirement. However, the facility is available in either English or French.  The service will initially be available to those residing in the US and Canada.

You must have an iPhone 14 series smartphone to use satellite technology. And those phones must have the latest version of Apple's iOS 16. Which is coming to the market in November this year.

Initially, tourists residing in the US and Canada and visiting these countries will also get this facility.  However, iPhones purchased from mainland China or Hong Kong will not be provided with satellite technology services.
